We will be hosting our annual golf tournament, to raise money for our scholarship fund, on August the 3rd. It will, once again, be held at Applewood Golf Course with a 7:30 shotgun start. We are expecting a good turn out again this year as it is reasonably priced and a chance to visit with fellow firefighters in a relaxing and fun environment. We hope you will mark the date now and we will see you there.

COLA ADVOCACY GROUPWe are passing along this letter from Joe Hart who has been working to achieve COLA's fro the New Hires.Retired DPD Captain, Jennifer Steck is doing awesome work with CORA requests and data analysis to find out what FPPA is doing with the fund. She has identified several accounting practices that I believe could make a significant difference in FPPA policy toward COLAs. The Retired Denver Police Officers are supporting her financially in her effort; we owe them gratitude and appreciation.We also owe Local 858 gratitude for backing our effort to explore legal pathways to get FPPA opened up to serious COLA discussion.We are still hoping that IAFF and Colorado Professional Firefighters will see their way toward supporting this effort.Though I am willing to discuss specifics I would like you to log onto the "Substack account" that Jennifer has established for communication to our group:Please pass this information on to anyone you can think of that would be interested.When you log on to the acct.
